Elbow's "Mirrorball" is one of those songs that I'd kill to see in concert. To recap, the types of songs I'd kill to see in concert are:
* A loud, dance your feet off song.
* A head-bopping hipster song
* Anything Howie Day has produced
However, I love this one not because it's any of the above, but because it's one of those songs that you get completely lost in, one whose flowing chorus is just flat out majestic, and because it's a rock song with effing violins!! (I use the genre "rock" very loosely here). I've seen live youtube videos of "Mirrorball" (which, if you love the song, I highly recommend checking out as well), and it seems like nothing is lost when the song is transferred from studio-recording to live - often the hallmark of an awesome song.
