Gillian Welch is certainly not new, and she's certainly not the kind of music I'd usually post on here, but I don't care. I love her. She has the most beautiful voice, and her music is so simple and pure. I first heard of her when one of my favourite local bands, Headwater, covered a few of her songs, and then when one of our guest bloggers, Paul Bahou from Inverse, mentioned one of her songs as his current favourites, I knew I had to give her a listen. She also sang on the "O Brother Where Art Thou" soundtrack, which I maintain is one of the best movie soundtracks. Anyway, enjoy!
